You probably know that your car has oil in it and that it needs motor oil to run. But what do you do with it? When do you change it? How often do you check it? Well, for it to work the way it should, you need to keep it clean. It absorbs a lot of debris and contaminants, so when you change your oil, you flush all of that out and replace it with oil that can flow easily and get everything lubricated. A good rule of thumb is to check your oil every hundred miles or so. You never know when you might need to top it off or get it changed. If it looks black or sludgy, then it should be serviced asap to avoid poor problems. You actually get better gas mileage when your oil is clean and your car doesn't have to work as hard.
